Using object and trajectory analysis to facilitate indexing and retrieval of video
نویسندگان
چکیده
This paper aims to show that by using low level feature extraction, motion and object identifying and tracking methods, features can be extracted and indexed for eYcient and eVective retrieval for video; such as an awards ceremony video. Video scene/shot analysis and key frame extraction are used as a foundation to identify objects in video and be able to Wnd spatial relationships within the video. The compounding of low level features such as colour, texture and abstract object identiWcation lead into higher level real object identiWcation and tracking and scene detection. The main focus is on using a video style that is diVerent to the heavily used sports and news genres. Using diVerent video styles can open the door to creating methods that could encompass all video types instead of specialized methods for each speciWc style of video. © 2006 Elsevier B.V. Segmented trajectory based indexing and retrieval of video data
In this paper, we present a novel principal component analysis (PCA) based approach towards modeling the object trajectory in a video clip. An eigenspace decomposition of highdimensional trajectory data leads to very compact representation, which is then used as indexing structure. To cutback on PCA computation during indexing, we first segment the trajectories into atomic subtrajectories using...
متن کاملBall Trajectory Estimation and Robot Control to Reach the Ball Using Single Camera
In robotics research, catching a projectile object with a robotic system is one of the challenging problems. The outcome of these researches can be used in a wide range of applications such as video surveillance systems, analysis of sports videos, monitoring programs for human activities, and human-machine interactions. In this paper, we propose a new vision-based algorithm to estimate the traj...
متن کاملObject Trajectory Analysis in Video Indexing and Retrieval Applications
The focus of this chapter is to present a survey on the most recent advances in representation and analysis of video object trajectories, with application to indexing and retrieval systems. We will review the main methodologies for the description of motion trajectories, as well as the indexing techniques and similarity metrics used in the retrieval process. Strengths and weaknesses of differen...

Background and Aim: The purpose of this study was to compare the impact of text based indexing and folksonomy in image retrieval via Google search engine. Methods: This study used experimental method. The sample is 30 images extracted from the book “Gray anatomy”. The research was carried out in 4 stages; in the first stage, images were uploaded to an “Instagram” account so the images are tagge...
متن کاملContent Based Radiographic Images Indexing and Retrieval Using Pattern Orientation Histogram
Introduction: Content Based Image Retrieval (CBIR) is a method of image searching and retrieval in a database. In medical applications, CBIR is a tool used by physicians to compare the previous and current medical images associated with patients pathological conditions. As the volume of pictorial information stored in medical image databases is in progress, efficient image indexing and retri...
